As a quick wrap-up to my week's "vacation," here are two awesome things that happened to me this week (other than my amazing Coach bag deal):
1. I actually got PROOFED this week! Hub and I went out for dinner on the way back from the shore. I ordered a beer with dinner and someone actually thought there might be some chance that I was not 21! So, yeah, maybe she was on crack, I don't know and I don't care. I GOT PROOFED!
2. I had Girl's Night Out with Patsy last night (more about that tomorrow) and she told me the nicest thing ever. As a little bit of backstory, Patsy and her man Diddy have already decided they don't want to have kids. So last night, Patsy tells me that all of a sudden Diddy was thinking about having kids because my Princess is the most adorable kid around, and not only that, but she is the coolest kid too. He loves spending time with her and it made him second-guess their decision not to have kids. All because of my adorable, cool kiddo. How flattering is that, to know that your kid is so awesome that someone would rethink their life decisions because of her? She reminded him that not all kids are as adorable and cool as Princess, and that even as adorable and cool as she is, she still poops and pukes and cries. That, I could not argue with. But still. Way flattering. Thanks, Patsy Darling!

It's funny that you say proofed..we say "carded" here in the midwest. :) I remember when I used to get carded..those were the days. :)
that is indeed flattering... both your stories! you must be doing something right, true!
How exciting it will be when another child is born into the world because of Princess!
Having someone ask for your ID is a wonderful compliment:)
I'm from Philly and I've always known it as "getting carded" too.
Well she IS adorable!! The thing I've learned about kids is... (1) When non-parents usually say about other people's kids - that they're usually awesome and adorable and so easy-going is because you don't spend 24/7 with them :op
If I changed my mind about having kids because of someone else's cute, adorable, so sweet and good-natured kid will just mean you'll probably end up having the biggest holy terror to ever hit the earth! ;)
All kiddin' aside, that's really cool - she sure is a cutie!
That is sooo cool! Your daughter must have some amazing powers
There is nothing better than someone mistaking your age for the better! Last year one of my professors asked us to fill out an information card that included our birthdays. He actually called me back over to him to tell me I had written the wrong year of my birth! It was great!
That is SO cool. Good on ya for raising such a great daughter - and for her being recognized as such.
Michele sent me. Woo hoo!
Damn....I wanna get carded! Hasn't happened in......toooooo long!
Visiting via Michele.....trying to push her over the visitor limit tonight!
Yeah on being carded!
And as far as your adorable child making someone else change their mind about having kids? Yeah, um, my kids make people reinforce their birth control. ;)
Hello from Michele!
What a great feeling to inspire a friend...
We call it "carded" out west as well. And everytime we go out for drinks, I always ask "Aren't you going to card me?" and they're usually like "Yeah, okay lady, whatever, show me your ID if you MUST!"
And someone wanting to have a baby because yours is so cute... the ULTIMATE compliment!
Wow, I love that...but I don't buy alcohol that often so I don't have the opportunity that much...and DUH, your princess is so adorable I want to have more just looking at her pictures! :) :) :) But I'm not gonna! Stay young sister...
That's cool you got proofed. I haven;t been proofed in ages which worries me! Maybe it's that damn one single gray hair I got that sticks out!
That's awesome, now if the movie theater dude tells you that you need your parent with you to see an R movie, you are made in the shade!!! :)
I had to stop and think what "Proofed" was, too! We also say "Carded". That's pretty COOL!
And what a complement (I'm sure well deserved!) about princess. So, has your friend changed her mind, too?
Thanks for your comments on my blog about the whining. Makes me feel better. :)
I forgot to mention on my 'girl's-night-out' post a few weeks ago that I got carded too! First time in FOREVER. Doesn't it feel great?
