Hub and Princess on the beach in Brielle, climbing the jetty. Of course, about 2 minutes after I took this picture he got whistled at by the lifeguards to get off the jetty because he had gone out too far, looking for starfish for Princess.
TJG and Princess at the end of the day, huddled in a towel. It got awfully chilly out!
Hub let Princess roll around in the sand. Unbeknownst to him, this outfit cost a pretty penny, and here it is all covered with sand. Ergh.
The whole way home, Princess kept whining and saying "ocean, ocean, ocean..." She really loved playing in the sand and loved getting her feet wet in the water, even though it was COLD. She didn't seem to mind.

Kids never seem to mind the cold water! I took my kids swimming over a friends today and my oldest comes out of the pool with blue lips..."uh, aren't you cold???" "sure mommy" Yeah, I'd be hypothermia all the way! LOL.

Adorable. You know when I was 9 I had a teaxher who was not originally from NJ. I told her I wnet "down the shore" for my summer vacation.
She told me that my English was incorrect. I argued with her about it.
I went home that night, did some research and came back the next day and told her that in the context of a well-used colloquiallism it was correct.
She was stunned and relented her position.
Looks like it was a fun day! Nothing better than the summer day spent on the beach!

Cute pics. Reminds me of my holiday with my wife and daughter in Santa Cruz/2003. My little girl all covered in sand and enjoying every day we went to the beach. Happy Days.
