Loverboy sucked. I can't believe they still do 100 shows a year and people pay to see them. And to choose to do a cover of "Hero" by Enrique? Are you mad? Flock of Seagulls were decent on their own song, but their cover song (something by Ryan Cabrera) sucked. Cece Penniston was good; her voice still sounds strong. Tiffany, I just dislike because she recently posed for Playboy. As a feminist, I think women with talent (which she has - her voice sounded pretty good) shouldn't sell their bodies for success. It takes away your credibility. Not that a former big-haired mallrat had any credibility to begin with, I suppose. And she still, actually, has big hair. But you get my point.
I was happy that Arrested Development won, mostly because I thought they were the best last night, but partially because I saw them in concert back in the day ("the day" being maybe 1994 or so) and they were great back then. Its on again next week, with one of my favorite 80's bands, The Motels, plus The Knack, Tommy Tutone (you know, 867-5309), and 2 other bands I can't remember.

I personally don't see anything wrong with posing for Playboy, if you are willing to accept the consequences of doing so. I do agree that you can't do stuff like that and then expect to be taking as seriously.

I already spewed my "ICK!" all over Charlie's site. It's funny how strong a reaction the show gets. I was so not into Loverboy or FoS. While I didn't like the former's choice of "Hero", I think it sounded better than when they did their own song!

You know I started watching that and as soon as LoverBoy started singing that lame Enrique song I turned it off. I was surprised I stomached it for that long. EW EW EW! But I found it funny cuz it was like a high school reunion where the popular people got fat!

Arrested Development was on? Nice! I've never seen them perform but I still have their first album, which I play every now and again. I had heard they were planning to get back together and do a new album, so that should be good (hopefully).

I didn't watch this show last night, but it's been really entertaining reading various blogposts about it today. The overall feeling about it in the blog world seems to be a combination of "ARE YOU MAD?" and "WTF?!"

HELP me Jersey girl!!.I started watching Hit Me Baby and as soon as fatty loverboy came on I switched it.To what you might ask? To NOTHING....there is nothing on anymore. I fell asleep at 9:30.TV is making me bored.
:( ..We totally forgot to set the dvr to record it ..We were wanting to see it ..We did ,however, get to see Beauty and the Geeks ...That wasn't bad really ..I think we will probably watch through till the end ..Is this show you are talking about suppose to last a little while or was it a one time deal ?

You know the night Anthony got kicked off Carrie was crying and mouthed to him " I love you " ..We rewound that part about 4 times and was like omg she is telling him she loves him ..Was wondering then if they had hooked up ....

If a woman can make money from showing off her body, why shouldn't she take the opportunity? If people are dumb enough to pay to see it, more power to her for making the $$$$$

having gone to school in ultra-liberal santa cruz (outshine only by berkeley), i've taken a few feminist classes (part of art history requirement) and agree with you about using the body to make money. if more opportunities are afforded women, then this does not need to be an option. well, i'm preaching to the converted :-)
