Now I Know My ABC's...

But first...I want to say how horrified I am over this. How is it ever ok to take someone's property just because big business comes in and can bring in more tax money? When we were down the shore the other day, we drove back up the coast and through Asbury Park, a shore town (made famous by Bruce Springsteen) that is in the midst of "urban renewal." They are building new townhouses starting around $700k in the middle of the hood. We saw this bar, called "Anybody's," which was right smack dab in the middle of two blocks of construction. They are refusing to leave. Good for them.

Jello shots... something I have not tried!

LMAO-- you can make good Jell-O shots? You're, like, my new best friend! ;) I love that we consider things like this as "cooking." When people ask if I can cook, I ask them, "Does blending margaritas count? Cuz I make a mean one."

Yeah, Eminent Domain sucks. They tore down a very old barn near where I presently live that had one of those old "Chhew Mail Pouch Tobacco" handpainted signs from another era to build condos.

I'm appalled over this supreme court ruling. I do not understand it all. I'm seriously concerned about your rights as an American living in the United States.

Love the list. I love learning little itty bitty bits about people.

Are you enjoying the heat? It's still raining here.

I am with you on Texas. I hate houston, but love San Antonio. Could be because I am from San Antonio. LOL

It was fun reading your ABCs, so I did my own.

We have to deal with eminent domain here too. We are fighting the city now who is trying to take over 25 and 26 streets here at the beach to put an addition onto a school. You should see the banners on all the houses.

I'm from Houston...and I agree, it sucks. Only been to SA a time or two, but not that impressed. Try Dallas! It's a great town! :)

Wow. That supreme court thing is scary. Even scarier when I agree with Scalia and Thomas.

I agree--that eminent domain thing is wrong and scary and it just pisses me off to no end.

wow, that eminent domain ruling is so wrong. I can't believe the court ruled that way. !

Eminent Domain.....what a bunch of B.S.......whats going to be next?

I don't like the Supreme Court decision either. Since when does the Supreme Court "make" laws? I thought they were supposed to interpret the constitution and how it applies to our laws.
