A Very Serious Warning for All Americans

Alright people. I am getting very serious right about now. You know what tonight is, right? Its Tuesday. That means tonight is a very important night for us and I need some serious attention from you on a very serious matter.

Tonight is American Idol.

I don't know what you have all been seeing in Scott, but I am going to remind you one more time of what he did. Maybe you aren't clicking through to the link to see what he did, so let me tell you Straight Up (yes, that was for Paula). If its not enough that he can't really sing, he also hit his baby mama with a phone when the baby was only a few weeks old. He was arrested for assault. Is that someone who should be Idolized? I think not. Not to mention the fact that HE CAN'T SING.

I now understand, however, that something more sinister may be involved which is keeping him on the show. This web site is encouraging voters to call in for the worst contestant, which is Scott (according to the site and to me and to most of you, too). So maybe that is to blame for this injustice.

As for Bo Bice, aka_Monty asked my opinion on the finding that he was arrested for drugs a while back. I have to admit, I don't think it makes a very good American Idol if you arrested for drug possession, especially in his case. He was busted not only for marijuana, but also for coke. However, with that said, I can't compare a kid getting busted for drugs to a kid getting busted for busting up his girlfriend's face.

I honestly don't care who you vote for. Seriously. As long as its not Scott. You made a huge mistake last week voting off Constantine; please don't do it again.

In other Idol news, tomorrow night is the Primetime Live special "Fallen Idol" where they are going to reveal that Paula not only is addicted to Vicodin, which she allegedly takes before the shows and which explains why she is so incredibly loopy, but that she had an affair with former contestant Corey Clark. Apparently, there are tapes (answering machine? audio? video? I don't know) to prove this affair. He is trying to sell a book proposal, so who knows if this is true or a just salacious rumor to drum up interest.

Clark was kicked off of the show because it was revealed that he, like Savol, had a battery charge against him when he assaulted his sister. Is it required that you hit women before you are allowed to try out for this show???

I do know that Scott revealed his criminal record before he auditioned AND he was awarded custody of his child, so there must be something wrong with the mother, too. I hate Scott's voice and I think its pathetic that he is still there. Constantine should have stayed. I'm gonna miss him. I still believe that Nadia should have stayed too. I can't stand Anthony either, but at least his voice is bearable.

Thanks for the reminder that the show is on tongiht. I haven't been able to watch it the past few weeks because of traveling. I may actually vote for the first time EVER, because I, like you, am tired of seeing Scott. Yes, I don't like him. I want him GONE. (Geez, that sounds like I'm hiring a hit man or something! LOL!). I think the people voting for him are doing it to personally irritate me. And it isn't even the conviction (although that irritates me). He CAN'T SING. He is rather sucky, actually. He shouldn't be on there.

Ahh. Thanks for giving me an outlet to vent. :)

Oh no goldberry, you did NOT bring up Nadia. I was majorly bummed when sh got sent home as she was my fave...

I don't understand who votes for these contestants (I watch but I don't vote) but I usually think it is totally ridiculous and I do NOT know how Scott is still on the show and Constantine got sent home

I hadn't heard about the affair with Corey Clark, although I heard rumors of an affair with Constantine.

Also, my husband and I decided after we saw her on Leno a few weeks ago that we thought she was drunk. After that every show it looked like she was drunk.

For some reason my motherinlaw likes Scott. She also seems to think he reminds her of my husband. NOT EVEN CLOSE. My husband is cute and adorable and would never hit a woman not to mention is not a piece of trash. Sorry. Sore subject.

Scott will be your next American Idol! The funniest part.... comments about Vote For The Worst only add more voters to our ranks! I have my choices about who should win, and I never thought VFTW would get big enough to truly make a difference.... But this is the year when it happens... Thanks for the publicity... From you and all the news outlets out there who are making sure the VFTW voter base grows by leaps and bounds....

;)

And Anthony...... Please.... That boy should never have seen the inside of the studio they film in... talk about truly the worst.

I agree. Scott needs to go home. He would need to go home even if he never broke any law- ever.

Thanks for the tip about the "Fallen Idol". I am going to tivo it right now.

I'm going to just post what I have to say before reading the other comments. I know this one did this, and this one did that.... I think EVERYONE has at some point done SOMETHING that they'd rather America and the free world not know about. Mind you, I don't have young impressionable children and I'm waaaaaaaaaay over 18 (37), so I may think about this from a different perspective. I vote for who can sing best, plain and simple. I don't let all the other hoopla into it.

Take for example, Chipper Jones in baseball. I know someone who HATES him (a woman) because he cheated on his wife with a stripper or something and got her pregnant. Whether he can play baseball has nothing to do with why she hates him, she hates him and that's that. (can you tell I'm a baseball freak? LOL) I judge him HOW HE PLAYS BASEBALL and not as a human being. I don't know the guy, I don't give a rat's ass what he does off the field.

But, I love reading your takes on AI b/c I'm as crazy into that show (along with many others - unfortunately, I have no life) as you are. Go BO and CARRIE!

At first i felt sorry for Scott becuase he said he had a horrible upbringing and his dad told him over and over that he would never amount to anything. But then the story came out. I have book club tonight and will miss it. But I will stay tuned because i know you will let me know how it all goes tomorrow.

See. Your post just proves my point. The STORIES are better than the show itself... or did I mean the book is better than the movie... oh well... you know what I meant!
