We get to the restaurant at 9:30, and there is still a 45 minute wait. So we wait at the bar (what, you expect less of me?). After one $9.50 appletini, I switch to Coors Lite (much more affordable). Hub is drinking too, which is a rarity for him. We both feel pretty good by the time we get a table, and we spend the whole time making fun of the waiter (whom I nickname "BillandTed", and who, when Hub orders a Coke asks him "Coca-cola?" ummmm what other kinda coke ya got there, buddy?). We had a great time and didn't finish up with dinner till midnight. What fun being out after 6 pm!
Saturday, I slept till noon. Glorious. We go down to pick up Princess at about 2:30, and end up staying for dinner. Then we come home, and Hub goes to get some more work done on one of his tattoos which gives me plenty of time to sit and enjoy the book he gave me as an early Mother's Day gift: a book written by and chock full of pictures of my potential next husband, Billy Lane:
Sunday, I get to sleep in again! Happy Mother's Day to me! 11:30 and I get up, take a leisurely shower, blow my hair out, etc, while Hub is feeding and changing and playing with Princess. Ah. My parents came over later in the day and we went out for Mexican food and, of course, strawberry margaritas. Yum. Hub also did all the laundry and waited on me hand and foot, gave me flowers and two "mom" books from Princess, all the while continuing to remind me how happy he was that I am the mother of his child. All together now..."Awwwwwww."

Cheesecake Factory? I am sooooo jealous. There's one up in Bergen County near where my grandmother is buried, and it's far to say I've asked myself on occasion what my real motivation is for wanting to go leave her some flowers. Certainly couldn't be lunch, could it?! Terrible, terrible... Is there one closer to home?
Okay, Cheesecake factory and Mexican food, you're KILLING ME!! The food over here sucks! Where is CheeseCake F?? Hmm I haven;t seen one near ROute 9!
FYI - ladies, there are 3 Cheesecake Factories in NJ that I am aware of - Hackensack (Riverside Square Mall), Willowbrook Mall, and Menlo Park Mall.
that sounds really really really really lovely and i am really really really really jealous!!! we have NO grandparents anywhere close so if we're going out it costs a bomb before we've even left the house (baby sitters argh!) so consequently it is a rare treat.
But you have sooooo deserved it!! the hair looks fab by the way, I think I prefer it straight... any decision made on the colour?? I recently went blonde again, but so far that is the best kept secret in the blogosphere! ;-)

Good for you! I can't eat and have dessert at the same time at the Cheesecake Factory. TOOO MUCH FOOOOD!!! The closest one to me is in MD, Bethesda I think. Too far, which is probably a good thing!

Yur mom made your mothers day by taking your daughter overnight, and that probably made her mothers day special as well. Isn't it great how that works out.
Mmm, sounds divine. You guys are a really good looking couple, your kid is gonna be goooohhgeous (well, of course she already is, she is a princess after all).
I used to be a career girl, but now a stay home mom with my two kids. I would not trade a moment for it. I have'nt spent more than 2 nights away from my kids in 6 years, I could not imagine what that is like. I am happy to see you had a wonderful mothers day.
