Happy Humpday

First of all, I want to thank Michele again for sending all of her lovely readers my way. When I started this blog I didn't think anyone would read it, and suddenly I am the Site of the Day. It may seem silly, but its almost like a badge of honor that someone as cool as Michele would notice me and that all of you would read me and comment here. So again, I humbly thank everyone who reads me for making me feel so special, yesterday and every day! I am in the process of visiting everyone who came to me through Michele's, in addition to all of you on my blogroll. So its going to be a busy few days here at casa de Jersey!

Yesterday I was tagged (twice!) with a similar meme, which I'll post either later today or tomorrow. But for now, some random thoughts that are on my mind.

~ I think Bo and Carrie are pretty much equal, no? She has a better voice, he is a better performer. Neither of them stood out last night, no one blew me away, no one sucked. I felt the performances, overall, were quite boring. But no matter who wins, they'll both come out with successful cd's. And no, I did not vote tonight (or at all, even with all my ranting).

~ I cannot stand people who are moodier than me. I can be fairly moody, I know. But one of the chicks I went out with last night is just beyond moody. She is one of these girls that needs to be the center of attention all the time and if she's not, her mood turns sour and she pouts. She is 32 years old, so this is not some young immature girl here. This is just an immature girl, period. I had a nice time with my former co-workers, but this one broad just got on my nerves.

~ I just spent nearly $70 on a t-shirt and hat from Choppers, Inc. for Hub for Father's Day. That's right, almost $70 for one hat and one shirt, with tax and shipping. The only good thing is that I am helping to make my next husband wealthy.

~ Does anyone think that Paris Hilton is going to help them sell hamburgers, even with her being all trashy in the commercial and whatnot? Not only does everyone hate her, but its obvious the girl does not eat!

hahaha first! :)

I felt the same about AI last night - I ended up voting for Bo - I love Carrie, but she's just a little young and inexperienced and that shows on stage. I just think she's 'not done cookin yet.' Bo has this amazing presence on stage... and a hot voice. I would have chosen different songs for him, but they both did, as you said, just good - not bad, not great, but good. I cannot believe the frickin results show is 2 HOURS LONG!!!

Ha ha -- we shared a Paris Hilton rant today! No, no, no... that ad? Waaaaay too over the top thanks, especially where they get her from behind and all you see is her ass as she stands up...

Okay.. first Paris Hilton makes me ill, but my kids gave me her perfume for mother's day and I really like it!! How sick is that? B. I think Carrie and Bo both were extremely nervous last night..they weren't singing to win they were singing not to lose...and lastly...I'm only moody when I'm PMSing so we'd get along fabulously!!

Congrats again on MSOTD yesterday! I agree...what an honor!

I hear ya on the moody thing. I can tend to be a bit moody too...mostly at work, because people can just get on my last nerve! Grrr.

Anyhow...just happened to find your blog and am enjoying it very much. Keep up the good work!

I agree on the AI musings...I am quite indifferent as to who wins tonight as I think both are pretty good but neither are my type of music. I did not vote at all either...I might have had Mario not quit ;-)

Hi there, found your blog on another blog. Thought I would post and give my two bits on Idol. I think Carrie will win, who knows. But I think regardless she will be just as big as Bo if she is not the winner given she will be catering to a totally different genre from him.

Anywho, enjoy your blog.

They're both good, but Bo is sexy and different. For once, I think someone like him should win, for being more unique. And did I say sexy?

I often ponder over your same thoughts today. Hurm....

I thought Carrie was REALLY bad on her first song and very good on her last one. Bo, was okay on his first song, and very good on the last two.

I tried to vote for Bo all night, but could only get through once. I hope that's a good sign.

It REALLY annoyed me to have Simon tell us who won which round, etc.

Bo just has that something extra. A classic. Carrie is very good, but a little too predictable.

My sister-in-law is moody like that. Always thinks everything is about her. She's 27, but you'd never guess it. Goes from happy to pissed in 3.4 seconds for no reason. People like that should be locked in a room with other people just like them.

Every time I hear about the Paris Hilton ad, I think of what the special sauce is on their burgers now. Big ewww....

around here, we call girls who are immature and moody like that "high maintenance". i think that phrase just about sums it up!

I am moodier than you...but you still love me:-)

I totally didn't watch AI this season, except for all the audtion shows. Gotta love the chick who thought she 'wasn't too shabby'. Anyhow, I see that Carrie won. I think she's good, but I preferred Bo.

TJG... YOU'VE GOT to come on over and check out my MEME song before you do those memes! Congrats on being Michele's site. You deserve it! xo

Clay Aitken didn't win, but he has a record deal and lots of publicity now with Oprah and other shows. Or did he win, I can not even remember anymore. Who really cares in the end because they all get fame and fortune whether they win or not.
As for the Paris Hilton ad.....Holy Mamma! That was too much. I wanted to turn it off, but-like a car crash-I could not stop staring. It sure is something else. I sure got one main message from the ad: There is no way on God's green earth that she eats those burgers!

I felt the same way about American Idol. I would have been happy either way with the outcome--kind of tickled that Carrie got it though since we are from the same state (as if she's any reflection on me! HA!)

Paris Hilton. Is. Trash.

Congrats on being Michele's site of the day! I'm so sorry I missed it. I've been fighting allergies for a couple of weeks off and on--along with everything else that goes on around here. I hate that I can't get around to everyone as much as I used to. :(
