No Poo Here!

I am tired of talking about, looking at, trying to predict, and cleaning up poo, so I'm going to babble about television instead.

Does anyone else watch The Amazing Race? Hub and I are addicted to it (that and most other reality shows). Until last night, I had been pulling for the old folks because they seemed so sweet and whatnot. But as last night's episode went along, I was getting more and more annoyed with whatever-her-name-is (I can't get past the fact that the MAN'S name is Meredith). Maybe it was just the editing, but didn't it look like she was doing nothing but standing there looking at those steel boxes instead of looking IN them like she was supposed to? All she did was complain about how she would never find the clue - well, yeah, if you look at the outsides of the boxes you certainly aren't going to find what's inside them. I couldn't wait for them to come in last and be gone...and then...SURPRISE! No one goes this week! Bah. I felt like I had wasted an hour with no reward. And I am sick of the beauty pageant lady, Kelly. She is such a princess and a whiner. I want to root for her team, because of course I want to root for a former Iraqi POW (her fiancee). But she forces me to hate that team. I like Uchenna and Joyce probably the best, and they seem like truly nice people who deserve to win. They always work as a team and seem happy for the opportunity to travel like this. So why am I rooting for Rob and Amber? I didn't see their "Survivor" so its not that I have a connection with them. Hub HATES Rob, he thinks he is conniving and cocky and arrogant. And he's right, he is. But for some reason, I like him. I like that he is *plotting* to win, not just going about the contests. He is smart, if not a little mean. It is, after all, a contest for $1 million. Its not a trip amongst friends. He wants to win. And I like to watch that, its good tv.

And who will go tonight on American Idol? I think it will be Nadia. She is terrific, has an great voice and an amazing stage presence. But I think she chooses the wrong songs. They are always too "adult," too bluesy and hardly ever recognizable. I think it should be Scott Savol, for what he did to his girlfriend (click on the link if you haven't heard). But I do think tonight is Nadia's turn to go. And what's up with Constantine? Is he getting pretty good or is it me? He has turned down the cockiness and its now just confidence (and serious flirting with the camera, which I have to admit, I am enjoying). And his voice is getting better. I think he could win it all, but I am still rooting for Carrie. She got a bum rap last night. She was great. I think because her voice is far superior to most of the others, they hold her to a much higher standard. Anthony was good last night, but for them to rave about him and bash Carrie - something is wrong there.

See, I liked Nadia. I thought she was really good. Scott sucked. I like him, but he sucked. And now that I know he's an abuser he really sucks. Bo was okay, Carrie almost fell over trying to karate kick the audience at the end, and she f-ed up the words. Oi. What do you think Constantine?? (He's putting his pants back on, hold on...)
Oh, he said he agrees with me.
;)
(all this cleaning is making me...dirty)

I am afraid I don't watch any of these, although American Idol has been on TV over here as well...

I have to say I find the initial progams the funniest - with the really really BAD singers - as they get better it gets a bit too cheesy and as I dont watch enough I dont get a relationship with the people and hence dont really care who wins.. but those first programs are classy! so much better than the UK ones, when they're all really humble and sweet...

LOL -- the only reason I'm NOT watching it thios time is because of Rob and Amber. Cannot STAND them. :)

Elle, just for the record, I love Nadia and I picked her from the start to win. I just think this is her week to go. She's been in the bottom 3 consistently, and I don't think she did anything to pull herself out this week. But I think she will probably still be a star!

And ha ha, you and your dirty...house. Tell Constantine I said hi!

I like Carrie, but I don't think she should win AI. She's a country singer. Someone will snatch her up in a heartbeat. And Anthony has got to go. He bugs the crap outta me and then goes and sings his best performance last night. Go figure!

Here's my picks for the bottom 3 tonight:

1. Scott
2. Anwar
3. Nadia

As far as who will go home? I'm thinking Scott. Care to put a friendly little wager on it? ;-)

I think Scott will go also, primarily due to bad press.

Truejerseygirl, THANK you for the nice compliment on my blog. That was really sweet.

I LOVE Amazing Race. I have to agree that I wanted to slap Gretchen last night when she was just whining about how she couldn't find the clue in the boxes, WHILE NOT EVEN CONTINUING TO LOOK!

Rob is making this an interesting one, because he actually acts like he is trying to WIN! I approve of his tactics as he is doing everything in his power to win which makes me appreciate the effort. This has been a great season and I loved it when two weeks ago the brothers were in a foot race for the finish with Ray and Deanna...that was exciting!

As to American Idol...I like Nadia and liked her song even. I think Scott or Anthony should go this week, but it might be Nadia. Constantine is getting better but I still hate him! Last night his song was the best of the evening and I hate to admit that!

Hi. I haven't been watching Amazing Race. I did watch Idol and think Nadia will go because she hasn't been popular with votes in the past even when she has sung really well. I actually like Scott. I thought Carrie did well, too.

Vonzelle is one of my favorites. Constantine was super confident last night. I like him. Bo was also really good.

I would like to sees Vonzelle, Constantin, Bo and Carrie in the top four.

I feel for ya with the poo and all. The Boy got the flu a few weeks ago, along with Mommy and Daddy. No puking, but how does six days of diarhea sound? and one time (i am NOT lying) it actually disolved the back elastic of the disposable diaper.

Thanks for the comments on my site. And you are right about doing the best you can. I am such a perfectionist and I can tend to have a "glass is half empty" outlook. Thanks for the wakeup call.

I think Carrie has done a good job. I would love to see her win.

The only reality show I watch is Idol, and I have a question: If Constantine, Scott and Anthony all get in the bottom three can we just kick them all off? I really can't stand C, because I (unlike you :D ) feel that he has not outgrown his cockiness but rather has gotten out of control. Plus he looked like a devil last night. Anthony and Scott just don't have the stage presence to carry this competition. I'd be thrilled if any of the girls won from here on out.

Carrie got her butt movin' last night at least... My top 5 are Bo, Constantine, Carrie, Anwar, and Vonzelle...Anthony bugs me and I think Scott, while a great singer and staying in against all odds looks like an axe murderer.

Think Anwar is gay? Something about him I just love... he's real as is Carrie.

I thought Carrie was good last night, too. Simon is usually absolutely accurate, though, and I think he was right about the kitten/tiger thing. Her voice sounded great, though.

I'm an Anwar fan. YUM.

Okay, are you watching this? What the? Uggh!!!!!! I swear if Anthony Fedorov doesn't go into the bottom three, I'll throw a temper tantrum and quit watching!

I also enjoy TAR.

Let me say this--what in the world does Meredith contribute? Every time there is a challenge, he lets Gretchen do it. And then all she does is whine a lot. She had no system this week for going though the boxes to find the clue, which I think doomed her chances.

That said, I know girls like Miss SC. I knew a girl just like her in college who was not good at letting go of the anger or even seeing sense at times. I mean, last week, the former POW didn't even use the word in question, but yet she was certain he did. I am sure if he had used it, they'd have included it bleeped out for the sake of the storyline. She is starting to bug me a lot.

Great blog BTW.
