My Weekend in Baltimore

We went to the Yankees-Orioles game down in Baltimore this weekend, and of course to visit my sister who lives down there. It was a nice warm day, perfect for baseball. Unless, of course, you were seated in the shade where the wind was whipping at ungodly speeds and making it feel like the dead of winter. So we stayed until the 7th inning stretch (had to let Princess enjoy her first "take me out to the ballgame"!) and then left before we froze to death. When we left the score was 6-2 Yanks. By the time we got to the car, it was 7-6 O's. But, at least they were winning when we left.

The funny thing was to see more Yankees fans than Orioles fans. I mean, this was their stadium, their town. We were 3 hours from the Bronx (ok, 6 with traffic). And the stadium was a sea of blue and white. I can't imagine going to Yankee Stadium and ever, ever being outnumbered. Just unheard of.

Here's us at the game...my sister, her hub, Princess, and Jersey Girl.

View of the city from our seats at Camden Yards.

There's no crying in baseball! Love that movie!

We don't say the "Y" word around this house. The hubs hates the "the word I cannot say!" This is Twins territory and Red Sox territory. Rawr!

Wow. You stayed for 7 innings with the Princess. I don't think I could make it 7 innings. Unless the beer man was a frequent visitor.

I heard that from someone else too, way more Yanks fans - ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww :op I would've loved to have gone to that!! I watched the whole series on TV - I am a HUGE Javy Lopez fan, so I'd be sitting in a puddle of drool the entire time.

I am a baseball fanatic, I have to get there sometime!

I've NEVER been to a Yankees game, and I've been living here for years! Last guy is out of town for a few days and he just called to tell me that his office is giving hime tickets to an upcoming METS game. Erggg. I FINALLY get to go, and it's not even the Yankees... I'm soooooo jealous! (play ball!)

I've been to baseball games but I only went because I wanted to eat the hotdogs and sit outside near grass.

That picture of your daughter crying? See, that would be me if I had to go to a game. To twist a familiar phrase: "Me and Sports -- Imperfect Together."

Those pics were great! I am going to be in NYC for a game the last weekend of April and can't wait to see the Yanks!

I went to that stadium last year for the first time. I had only ever been Fenway Park and WOW what a difference. What a glamorous stadium! I'm impressed you lasted so long with the little one... She is precious!

Thanks so much for stopping by via my cousin, MommaK! She rocks, doesn't she?
