I Am A Shoe-In

But first: Somehow, I became a Marauding Marsupial yesterday for a brief time in TTLB Ecosphere! Why is this important to me? I have no idea! I figured I would be an Adorable Rodent forever (and I am back there now), and I am fine with that. I hardly ever even check how I am doing on there. But for some reason I checked it out yesterday and there I was! Marauding around like the Marsupial I am! For some reason, this makes me very happy!!! Are you part of TTLB? Do you look at where you rank and watch how you are doing?
-------------
I bought 2 amazingly cute pairs of shoes yesterday. At Payless. I am not generally a fan of the Payless...not that I am Carrie Bradshaw, buying Manolos and Jimmy Choos, but other than the occasional Target or Kohl's flip flop, I prefer Macys or Bloomies or something like that.

But, maybe I have mentioned this? Have I told you we are po'? I can't afford $100 for a pair of shoes. So, off to Payless I went yesterday before my interview, feeling like if I got a cute pair of shoes I would certainly get the job. And what did I find? Ah, a Buy-One-Get-One-Half-Price sale! Love that! So I looked around and found 2 pairs of adorable shoes that I love. I wore the black ones yesterday, so I am sure I will be offered the job, just because of that.

So what do you think? Both pairs for $28. Even if you think they are ugly, you just can't beat that deal.

These are green faux suede with brown ribbon and a cute wedge heel. I have been wanting a cute wedge heel for fall. So now I just need to buy something green to wear these with.

And these are the pointy-toe shoes that Clinton and Stacy from What Not To Wear are always touting, and they are right. They look great on. I think I may even wear these with jeans in the fall.

Congrats - I'm the lowliest of the low. Means there's nowhere to go but "up" I suppose.

Hey - do you live anywhere near Cranbury? I found the coolest thing there: A Crate and Barrel outlet store (off of Rt. 130). And the angels started to sing...

Love both pairs, especially the black ones. Those pointy shoes have been in style for the past few years over here...I resisted them for a long time, but they DO look great on. hehe

My true shoe-addiction, however, is leather boots.

I am not part of any animal community. That I know of.

I have almost the same black shoes... largely because Clinton & Stacey told me I should... I am considering getting rid of all round toe boots for the same reason :)

So I have no clue what I may be now.....

I keep dropping down in the ecosystem but that's OK, I only check it every couple of weeks or so.

I love What Not to Wear, but the UK version with Trinny & Susannah. I haven't seen the US version as yet. Man, there are pointy shoes everywhere, ESPECIALLY Target!

I would love to have my own What Not to Wear team with me at all times...

Those shoes are wicked cute, hope they prove to be your good luck charms! Nothing like a good pair of shoes to set the tone.

Oh I love shoes. I don't nearly have enough, although Chris seems to be convinced that I do. Cute shoes!

Those black ones are to die for. Are they in the least bit comfy? I know Stacy is always plugging them, but with my stupid feet (look great on the outside, but all messed up on the inside) and their need for orthotics, cute shoes don't really work. Every once in a while (like today) I wear cute shoes and then I have to go home and cry because my feet hurt.

That second pair of shoes ROCKS! I used to have a major shoe fetish... before I moved into a NY apartment that is! There just isn't any room to put them anymore.

Excellent shoesies but ummm...heels and preschoolers don't go together! ;0) Thanks for visiting even though I've been a slacker. I do appreciate it!

I tried the TTLB thing...I'll have to go back...I didn't get it. Brain function hasn't been up to par of late...I'm getting back on track now though so I'll try again!

I'm a lowly flippery fish. I love those black shoes. I have a pair that is very similar and surprisingly comfortable.

Michele sent me today, but I'll be back!

Are you saying you can't get Jimmy Choos and Manalos at Payless?

Oooh! I'm loving your shoes. What a great purchase. Now I'm wanting to buy new shoes.

I just got rid of my TTLB thingy. I was a Marauding Marsupial but with the change of address, I lost my status. I did not want to start over as a bird so I quit the rat race , hee-hee.

Love the shoes. Thanks for visiting me at Michele's today. You are so sweet:)

You have a tv show called 'What Not To Wear' with Clinton & Stacy? Over here in England, we have a programme with that title, except the girls are Trinny & Susannah

By the way, I LOVE the pointy ones. I would never have liked shoes like that until I became a devotee of Clinton and Stacy... :)

You are so funny about being po!

I can't believe you have to wait until after Labor Day to find out about the job.

Yesterday at Macy's I saw some shoes that looked almost like those faux suede ones with a rubber wedge heel. So cute! But the ones I saw were $158!!! I tried them on THREE times, but thank god I walked away. I can be dangerous when I want something. Now I will have to go to payless and get the ones you got :)

And so sad to hear about your uncle. Take care.
