What's Today's Earworm?

I think I am the worst ever for these things - where you hear a song and then for hours and hours you can't get it out of your head. The absolute worst one for me is that commercial for the tv channel Fuse that features "Dance Dance" by Fall Out Boy but they put all the wrong words as subtitles. So for days I will sing - "Dance, Dance, we're fondling a bug till halftime." It makes me nuts.

Anyhoo- what's your current earworm? For me, right now, Its "All Hail the Heartbreaker" by The Spill Canvas (ha ha, its not a My Chem song, I fooled ya!). I just love the lyrics so much (listed below for those of you who are interested). What song can't you get out of your head?

I had the notion that you'd make me change my ways
My bad habits would be gone in a matter of days
I had the feeling that you'd open up my eyes
To a whole new world that had since been in disguise
But that day will most likely never come for me
And it's just my luck to end up getting stuck
To everything you are
So tonight I'll sit and pick apart your pictures
And overanalyze your words
But the truth is that I've never fallen so hard
It's taking everything in me
Just to forget your sweater so far
I had the notion that you'd make me forget the world
But your undecisive mind shows me that
You are "just another girl"
I had the feeling that those looks you gave me were real
What if I ripped your heart apart at the seams
Maybe then you'd know how I feel
I can honestly say that I never, ever, ever felt this way
Your lips, your eyelashes, your skin
These are the parts of your body
That cause my comatose to begin
I will sleep another day
I don't really need to anyway
What's the point when my dreams are infected
With words you used to say
I will breathe in a moment
As long as I keep my distance
I wouldn't want to go messing anything up
So don't go worrying about me
It's not like I think about you constantly
So maybe I do, but that shouldn't affect your life anymore
I knew it the moment you walked into the door
I'll let you get the best of me
Because there's nothing else that I do well
I'll be the giver and you'll be the taker
I guess that's how this one's gonna go
You've got me down on my knees and I proclaim
All hail the heartbreaker

I don't usually stick with a certain song, but just today Friend Dave and I were discussing the Barry Manilow song "Mandy", and then I got "Sandy" from Grease in my head ... then he tried to get "Copacabana" in my head, so I started in with "Lola" by The Kinks.

It was great fun :)

At first, when you mentioned wrong lyrics I thought you were looking for mondegreens, the lyrics you hear incorrectly. To this day, I can't hear Janice Joplin's version of "Piece of My Heart" without thinking she's saying "take another little piece of my hard-on baby" which makes zero sense. But the song that keeps getting stuck in my head (thanks to me putting it on too many of my playlists) is Devil by Sterophonics. It bugs me because one of the voices in the intro of the song sounds like a co-worker. A great song, otherwise.

They say the best way to get a song out of your head, is to get it stuck into somebody else's head.

Actually, I'm not sure if "they" say that, or if it's just me. But I think it's valid.

Here from Micheles,
I have had 'Outshined' by Soundgarden stuck in my head for about 3 days now. I've listened to it 2 or 3 times trying to get it stuck but it keeps coming back!
( I didn't comment on your most recent post because I don't watch Idol & so have only the vaguest idea of what you're talking about)
