This Is Why People From Jersey Have Attitudes

I am not going to go off on a whole rant about this, but I just want it noted that last night on American Idol, they lied to you. They were not in NY. That was Continental Airlines Arena. In New Jersey. Not NY. I know the NY teams play there, but it is still friggin New Jersey.

This is one big reason Jersey people have such attitudes. We are always the stepsister of NYC, which I get because no place else in the world is NYC. But if you are filming here, playing football here, whatever, ADMIT IT. You are in NJ.

We get a bad reputation because all you see of Jersey is nuclear waste and smoke stacks and pollution and mobsters. Yeah, we have all that too. But we have other stuff as well that we never get credit for because its billed as being "NY".

Ok, off my soapbox.

I ran auto insurance claims for Jersey for six months ... those people do some crazy things. I do love your laws though -- they make much more sense than ours. Now if only people would follow them :)

Not that Florida drivers are any better, really.

Go Girl! You tell em'. If NJ is good enough to have a team play there then it should be good enough to give it due credit!

Be loud n proud of your home.

Yeah. You're the Garden State. You've got beautiful places like Trenton. :)

It's reasonable to assume that you don't find the "what exit" type joke funny, right? Don't worry; most "Jersey-haters" don't know what they are missing.

I have always thought it was dumb the Jets and Giants dont be called the New Jersey Jets and Giants. I get they were in New York before but it seems dumb to play in a different state but still go by another states name. STUPID!

And for the record, when I was in New Jersey and stayed there I didn't mind it and I thought the poeple were very nice.

I understand the whole "not admiting you are in New Jersey" thing, but I'll never understand why saying you are in New York would somehow be considered better..????

Amen...I've always felt Jersey got a bad rap. I grew up there, and I still love it.We're in Florida now.
Though if I remember correctly, Bon Jovi used to lie and say he was from New York as well.
