We had our Mardi Gras party on Saturday and it was good times (above is the pic of Princess from our invitations). Patsy was completely hammered and was calling a 3-year-old the C-word (not to her face, and not my 3-year-old). I often wonder why I bother having these parties at all, though, when for me the REAL party doesn't start until about 2am when its down to just our little tribe of friends, jello shots, tequila and stale potato chips. Here's Patsy and me, enjoying good times, in our matching Mardi Gras hats:
Enjoy your Mardi Gras!

Sounds like you had a great time and the pic looks like you did! Of course the party isn't really kicking until the jello shots are shootin'!
In teh Uk we have a different tradition for this day called Pancake day. Traditionally it was the day that the cream adn fats were used up before lent so I'm glad it got changed to pancakes. personally I'm waiting for it to eb updated to jello shots!
We have Gasparilla here. I don't generally partake, but it does span 3 Saturdays so you can go to whichever parade and get as crazy as you want. There's the children's parade (minimal craziness), the day parade (moderate craziness, lots of alcohol) and the night parade (hold on to your friends for dear life, and carry a tape recorder so you know what happened). This year only about 30 people were arrested! It was a good one ... :)
That hat looks super on you; I know you enjoy a party.
I, too, love Mardi Gras. I used to host a party every year when we first moved back up north, but people just didn't get into it like they did in the south! Go figure! I'm making gumbo right now, though, just to be in the mood! (Not wearing all of my bead collection, though!)
Let the good times roll, Jersey Girl!!
Whoo hooo! Love the pic and the good times!
